Frank Wear Cleaners Consent Decree

The Washington State Department of Ecology is providing the public with an opportunity to comment on the Consent Decree for the Frank Wear Cleaners Site located at 106 S. 3rd Avenue in Yakima.


A Consent Decree is a court-approved legal agreement between Ecology and the responsible persons explaining what studies or cleanup actions will be conducted at the site and the terms for how the work will be performed.

Send your comments to Ecology for consideration. Comments will be accepted from September 19, 2025 through October 20, 2025.


After the public comment period ends, Ecology will review and respond to comments received during the comment period. Ecology will hold a public meeting if 10 or more people request one. If no significant changes are necessary, the Consent Decree will become final.
